No matter what your nationality, there is no excuse for ignorance. Charleston is a very beautiful and diverse city, with many different ethnic backgrounds and creeds. So with that in mind I find it my duty to put you on to some terms used by your neighbors. Look at this as an education of culture. You should enjoy these teachings.
Today’s word is pretty universal and fairly easy to both use and assimilate into your everyday diction (provided there is a real opportunity to use this word)! Although most associated with the Caucasian race, this word can be used by anyone [Ed.note- But mostly I just want people to stop questioning if I’m REALLY from Charleston because I use words that “white people use”…what’s that mean anyway: WHITE PEOPLE WORDS?
